See all of this world
as a star at dawn,
a bubble in a stream,
a flash of lightning in a summer cloud,
a flickering flame, a phantom, and a dream.

Buddha

Relentlessly pass the days and nights. How am I using my time?"  This should be reflected on again and again...

Buddha

Unlike those who don't realize
that we're here on the verge
        of perishing,
those who do:
        their quarrels are stilled.

Dhammapada 6

Don't sacrifice your own welfare
for that of another
no matter how great.
Realizing your own true welfare
be intent on just that.

Dhammapada 166

If, by forsaking
a limited ease,
he would see
an abundance of ease,
the wise one
would forsake
the limited
for the sake
of the abundant.

Dhammapada

Regard him as one
who points out treasure,
the wise one who,
seeing your faults,
              rebukes you.

Stay with this sort of sage.
For the one who stays
with a sage of this sort,
              things get better,
              not worse.
